Click on the ‘register’ button at the top of the screen, that will take you to our online application form for you to complete. Don’t forget to upload any documents to support your application.
Sovereign Home Transfer is open to everyone, but priority will be given to Sovereign residents who are looking to transfer to another property. Most properties will be advertised exclusively for Sovereign residents.
Once you’ve submitted your application it can take up to 2 weeks to be assessed. You may still be asked for supporting information before it can be fully assessed. Once a decision has been made, we’ll send you an email to confirm your banding. Only contact us if you haven’t heard within 4 weeks.
All household members over 16 must provide a valid national insurance number when they register. You can only be on one application at a time, and if you’re already on an existing application you won’t be able to continue. If you want to continue to register, you’ll need to remove yourself from any other applications.

Each application will be assessed in accordance with our Transfer Policy. Applicants in Band 1 will have the highest need, and those in band 4 the lowest housing need.
Once you’ve received your banding, you can start bidding.
You can bid on any suitable properties.
No, once you’re being assessed for a property you’ll be placed under offer and won’t be able to bid on other properties.
Once the bid date closes, we’ll start to process the shortlist, and will make contact with the successful applicant within one week.
No, we’ll only be contacting the successful applicants.
Yes, when you bid you’ll be able to see how many other people have also bid on the property
Our policy says that residents can refuse offers. However if two offers, of what we think are suitable homes, are made, then your application maybe suspended for 6 months, unless there are extenuating circumstances to support this.
Properties will be regularly advertised and the closing date will be stated on each advert. You won’t be able to bid after the advert has closed.
Most properties are advertised with the local authority, however a small number of properties are advertised here.
Please include any details of your medical condition with your application. If we need anything else we’ll contact you.
Everyone will be banded in accordance with the home banding policy. If you still don’t agree please email us with the reasons why you believe the assessment is incorrect.
If you login to your account you’ll see ‘have your circumstances changed button’ if you click that you’ll be able to complete a new application form, with your updated information and then submit. After submitting this you won’t be able to bid on any properties until we’ve reassessed your updated application.
Once you’ve logged in you’ll be able to see any properties that you are eligible for. Please click on the property advert and make sure it’s suitable before you click the ‘place bid’ button.
If you’re unable to bid it means you don’t meet the criteria for the property.
We’re not able to give timescales for this as it depends on the type of property you’re looking for, and the location. Please remember that we’ll only be advertising a small number of properties here, the majority will be advertised through the Local Authority.
